Zhejiang University (“ZJU”) has launched the “Qiushi Junior Fellowship” program, which aims to recruit 200 of the world’s most outstanding young scholars (“Fellows”) every year to undertake high-quality, impactful postdoctoral researchaligned with the university’s strategic priorities. The program offers a two- or three-year research-focused fellowship, complemented by mentorship and a comprehensive training and development system, designed to support Qiushi Junior Fellows in becoming global research leaders in their respective fields.
1. Work and Benefits

(1) Compensation and Benefits
ZJU offers competitive remuneration packages co-sponsored by the university and the supervising faculty member. The remuneration package includes an annual pre-tax salary of 300,000 RMB from ZJU, plus additional allowances from the collaborating supervisor in accordance with ZJU regulations and applicant’s qualifications. Comprehensive local social welfare benefits are provided.

(1) Supplementary Research Supports

Postdoctoral fellows completing their terms at ZJU are widely recognized by domestic and foreign universities and research institutions. Over 70% of them are employed by high-level universities and research institutes both in China and abroad, where they engage in teaching and research. Exceptional Qiushi Junior Fellows will be afforded priority consideration for tenure-track faculty positions at ZJU.
3. Application Requirements
(1) Applicants must have high recognition of the culture, mission and vision of ZJU, demonstrate a strong commitment to research, and possess an international outlook, along with strong cross-cultural communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
(2) Will obtain a doctoral degree by June 30, 2026, or have obtained a doctoral degree within the last three years.
(3) Have a proven track record of original research and outstanding academic achievements.
(4) Commit to undertaking the postdoctoral fellowship on a full-time basis at Zhejiang University.
4. Evaluation Process
(1) The relevant department/school conducts initial selection and recommendation based on the applicant’s academic background, research experience, academic competence, and research achievements.
(2) The university organizes expert review.
5. Application Materials

(2) Two recommendation letters (one must be from the applicant’s principal doctoral supervisor). Referees should send the letters directly to the target department/school via email.
(3) Representative research achievements reflecting the applicant’s highest academic level (no more than 6 items):
|Articles: Provide the full text (including proof of acceptance for unpublished papers).
|Monographs: Submit the cover page, table of contents, and abstract.
|Patents or awards: Include relevant certificates.
|Combine all materials into a single PDF file.
