Kuan Yoow Chan: kychan@intl.zju.edu.cn
Personal page: https://person.zju.edu.cn/en/H118031
Research interests: The centrosome is an important signalling and microtubule organizing centre in mammalian cells. Centrosomal defects are a common in high grade cancer and have been shown to trigger tumorigenesis in mice. The impact of centrosomal defects in deregulating the cell cycle in cancer is poorly understood. In addition, cancer genome sequencing efforts worldwide show mutations on centrosomal components are common. Using genetic, cell biology and biochemical assays, we aim to study how the changes in centrosomal signalling lead to the deregulation of the cell cycle in cancer.
