浙江大学控制学院-剑桥大学联合招收博士后计划项目招聘启事

一、招聘岗位

研究方向:基于超声微流控和机器学习算法的生物传感技术

合作导师(浙江大学)及团队简介:

    李光,浙江大学控制科学与工程学院教授,浙江大学分析仪器研究中心主任。历任控制科学与工程学院副院长、英国IET(工程技术学会)上海分会副主席、中国神经信息学工作组副组长。研究方向:生物传感器、神经信息学、脑机接口技术、仿生工程。https://person.zju.edu.cn/en/0091121。

合作导师(剑桥大学)及团队简介:

    Andrew Flewitt教授,剑桥大学工程系电子工程方向带头人,剑桥大学Sidney Sussex学院院士兼教学主管,英国物理和工程学会会士,IEEE《Electron Device Letters》杂志编辑。研究方向:固态电子、纳米技术(包括薄膜场效应管、微电子器件和生物传感技术)。http://www.eng.cam.ac.uk/profiles/ajf23。

联合招收博士后工作计划:

    基于两个团队在超声微流控和生物传感器方向的前期成果,研究利用超声技术对液体中微米/纳米颗粒的操控,并结合生物传感技术,在微米/纳米尺度下对微颗粒的化学/物理属性进行观测。进一步,引入机器学习方法辅助微颗粒的识别和分类,推进超声微流控技术在疾病诊断、环境监测等领域的应用。

    第一年(剑桥大学):完善现有超声微流控技术的性能,研究该技术在液体环境下对生物组分(蛋白质、DNA)的操控,并探索该技术和声波/光学传感器的联用。

    第二年(浙江大学):运用机器学习算法对第一年的数据进行处理和分析,尝试通过机器学习对不同的微颗粒进行自动分类和识别。

二、选拔条件

    1.近三年内获得国内C9高校或第四轮学科评估A+学科或海外顶尖大学博士学位;

    2.身体健康,年龄不超过32周岁;

    3.有良好的学术表现及学术发展潜力,未来有志于到浙江大学从事教学科研工作。

三、支持措施

    1.招聘1人,资助期为2 年。

    2.入选者列入浙江大学博士后特别资助项目,学校给予每人20万元/年的资助,入选者公派赴剑桥大学工作期间,学校额外给予每人10-15万元/年补充资助。

    3.入选者在资助期内享受学校学科博士后相关福利,可申报全国博士后管理委员会相关博士后项目,同时也可以剑桥大学访问学者身份申请校外资助的其他经费。

四、考核要求

     入选者应根据浙江大学博士后管理工作规定完成相应的考核,完成研究工作并达到控制科学与工程学科的博士后出站要求后办理出站。在剑桥大学合作发表的学术论文及其他成果可认定为出站成果,鼓励入选者与剑桥大学合作教授联合发表文章,第一署名单位及排名不计先后。

五、选拔程序

    1.控制学院成立招聘考察小组,对应聘材料进行筛选,通过面试环节对应聘者的科研能力、学术水平全面评估,并与剑桥大学合作导师商议,确定拟录用人选,报学校审批。

    2. 申请者需提供以下书面材料:

    (1)《浙江大学博士后申请简表》

    (2)发送个人简历(包括个人基本信息、学习工作经历、参与科研项目、科研成果),代表性论文及其他能证明科研能力的材料至联系人邮箱。

    3.经学校批准录用人员,须登录中国博士后网注册,并按浙江大学博士后进站程序办理进站。

六、其他

    1.联合招收博士后计划项目招收的博士后在2 年资助期结束时,应及时办理出站。如确因科研工作需要,申请延期出站的,应提前一个月向人事处报批,延长期间的费用由浙江大学合作导师负责筹集。

    2.联合招收博士后计划项目作为学校培养高水平国际化师资的人才储备项目,通过该项目培养的博士后研究人员在聘期内学术能力和业绩表现优秀者,出站后可申请学校“百人计划”或特聘研究员岗位,进入浙江大学预聘轨师资队伍。

Joint Postdoctoral Fellowship Program:College of Control Science and Engineering of Zhejiang University and University of Cambridge

I. Position

Research Area: Biosensing by combining acoustofluidics and machine learning

Supervisor at Zhejiang University:

Dr Guang Li is a professor at the College of Control Science and Engineering and head of the Centre of Analytical Instruments, Zhejiang University. He was the vice dean of the College of Control Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University, the vice chairman of IET Shanghai Branch and the vice director of the Working Group of Neuroinformatics of China.

Supervisor at University of Cambridge:

Professor Andrew Flewitt is the head of Electrical Engineering in Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge. He is a Fellow and Director of Studies at Sidney Sussex College Cambridge. His research interests are Solid State Electronics and Nanoscale Science, including thin film transistors, MEMS devices and biosensors. He is a Member of the Institute of Physics, a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and is a Chartered Engineer and an Editor of the IEEE journal 'Electron Device Letters'.

Work Plans (Tentative Schedule):

Recent work on acoustofluidics and biosensors in both Prof. Li and Prof. Flewitt has revealed that acoustic techniques could offer promising tools to manipulate particles in fluids on the microscale to nanoscale, allowing researchers to investigate the associated chemical/physical phenomena at microscale-to-nanoscale with biosensors. Furthermore, machine learning methods assist the recognition and classification of the particles and promote the application of the acoustofluidic technology to assist the fields of disease diagnostics, environmental monitoring and other industries.    

Year 1: Work with Prof. Flewitt at University of Cambridge on improving the performance of the techniques of acoustofluidics, investigating the manipulation of biomaterials, protein, DNA for instance and studying the combination of the acoustofluidic tools with acoustic/optical biosensors.

Year 2: Work with Prof. Guang Li at Zhejiang University on data analysis, employing the methods of machine learning to understand the data collected in Cambridge and realize the recognition of the particles.  

II. Eligibility

1. A PhD degree within the recent three years from domestic C9 universities, or from “A plus” disciplines of the fourth round of national discipline assessment by China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Development Center, or from top overseas universities.

2. The applicants should be under 32 years old and in good health condition.

3. Good academic performance and research capability. Interested in teaching and research positions at Zhejiang University in the future.

III. Funding

1. One quota for each position. The successful candidates will be funded for two years. The full salary will be 200,000RMB/year from Zhejiang University. An additional grant of 100,000-150,000RMB/year will be supplied during the period of work at University of Cambridge by Zhejiang University.

2. Successful candidates will also enjoy the benefits of common postdoctoral program at Zhejiang University in projects application. They can also apply for other external funding as a visiting scholar at University of Cambridge.

IV. Assessment requirements

The selected candidates will carry out research work under the guidance of the cooperative supervisors of both universities. The candidates should fulfill the corresponding assessment according to the post-doctoral management regulations of Zhejiang University, complete the research work, and reach the post-doctoral requirements of control science and engineering. The selected candidates are encouraged to jointly publish articles with professors at University of Cambridge. Academic papers and other achievements published together with professors at University of Cambridge can be regarded as the achievements of the postdoctoral program.

V. Application Procedure

1. The selection is merit based and opens to all candidates at home and abroad. The College of Control Science and Engineering will set up a recruitment committee and comprehensively evaluate the research ability and academic level of the candidates through interview processes and report to Zhejiang University for approval after discussion with the professor at University of Cambridge.

3. Once approved by Zhejiang University, the selected candidates shall finish the registration procedures and will be subject to the management of Zhejiang University.

Ⅵ. Others

1. Successful applicants should finish the research work within the 2-year funding period. Application for extension as needed by research shall be submitted one month before the expiration date. The expenses shall be covered by supervisor in Zhejiang University during the extension.

2. The joint postdoctoral program may also serve as a potential talent pool for Zhejiang University. Qualified selected candidates may apply for the "Hundred Talents Program" or Distinguished Research Fellow (ZJU tenure track positions) after completion of the program.
