Announcement of the 2011-2012 International Scholar Exchange Fellowship (ISEF) Prospectus

The Prospectus for the 2011-2012 International Scholar Exchange Fellowship(ISEF) program has been printed and mailed out to the sixteen Asia Research Centers(ARCs) supported by the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies including Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Communication University of China, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Fudan University, Nankai University, Liaoning University, Yanbian University, National University of Mongolia, Vietnam National University Hanoi, Chulalongkorn University, Yangon University, National University of Laos, and Royal Academy of Cambodia. The overview of the upcoming year’s invited research program was also sent to international affairs offices at major universities in China such as Nanjing University, Zhejiang University, Wuhan University, Jilin University, Sun Yat-sen University, Shandong University, Chinese University of Science and Technology, Sichuan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Shanghai Jiatong University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Harbin Institute of Technology, and Party School of the Central Committee of C.P.C, as well as leading universities in Southeast Asia such as University of Delhi, University of Indonesia, University of the Philippines, Diliman and University of Malaya. And four major universities in Central Asia have been added this year: L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, University of World Economy and Diplomacy and The National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek.

For the year 2011-2012, which marks the 12th year of the ISEF program, fellows will conduct research in Korea for one-year (September 1, 2011 to August 31, 2012) or six-month (September 1, 2011 to February 28, 2012 or March 1, 2012 to August 31, 2012).

Applications will be collected until February 25, 2011 and admission will be announced on March 31, 2011.
